I love the springtime. A time of renewal. Time for a fresh start, and a time to create. The flowers are blooming, and the trees are green. Ideas flow when new things start, and there’s something in the air that feels fresh. I love this time of year, it’s the season of love. There’s something about a spring romance and everything that it brings. The newness of getting to know a person this time of the year is exciting and inspiring.
The scents and the sounds of spring help a new relationship grow. And, your thoughts wander to that someone special that you just can’t stop thinking about. It can also be that way with a business that you’re passionate about. Just like a new love inspires, motivates and invigorates, so does being passionate about your business. You can have 2 loves, if you’re open to it. The one that makes your heart skip a beat, and the one that gets your heart going.
You can feel the heat of the intensity of being with your new lover, and feel it with your business. Let them both do their part in helping you to become successful. The right significant other in your life makes your life more enjoyable. And, one that supports and encourages you in your endeavors is a blessing. Not everyone will find that the 2 will mix, but when they do, it’s magical. But, don’t let one steal from the other. You have to make time for your love, and your business. They’re both important.
Just like all the new things that are born out of spring, they need time to grow and flourish. So does your love life and your business. There will be times when you have to chose one over the other, but make that temporary. You don’t want your business or your love life to suffer. One will keep you lonely, the other will make you go broke. Neglect on either end will be a death sentence to one or the other. You should be able to balance both. With balance comes compromise, sacrifice and attentiveness. Don’t let your business choke out your love life, and vice versa.
Let your desire for both drive you, and keep you focused. Keep them separate enough to be successful in both. Let your love be your confidant and your sounding board. Ask them for their input. Make them a part of what you’re trying to create. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that they are there. Even if only in spirit. Cultivate both of your loves with focus, tenderness, hard work, attention, respect and admiration. This is the time of year for it. Grow your garden of both love and business, then watch it bloom.
